Today, the Center announced that I would be leaving the Center at the end of the year.  I wanted to share with Center supporters some additional thoughts about my decision.

I’ve loved working at the Center for the last 26 years.  From the very first day I started at the Center, I’ve felt like this was the perfect fit for me both personally and professionally.  However, 26 years is a long time to do anything and over the past couple of years I’ve started to feel like it was time for a change - - not just for me but for the Center as well.

I don’t have any specific plans about what I’m going to do once I leave the Center but I want to make it clear that I’m not retiring.  I’ll continue to be available to help the Center in whatever way I can.  I also know that I will continue to work on issues that I care about.

It has been my great pleasure to serve the public interest in my capacity as Executive Director.  The Center’s supporters have made that possible and I want to thank each and every one of you.  At the end of the year, I’ll leave the Center knowing it’s in good hands and confident that the new Executive Director, the Board, the staff and our supporters will continue the difficult fight for justice for all Arizonans.
