We have been gearing up for our annual event, which was to be held on April 4th. Obviously, due to concerns about the Coronavirus and COVID-19, we are postponing the event. We are tentatively rescheduling for October 10, 2020, but will continue to stay on top of developments and will keep you informed. We will, however, be holding our silent auction online as scheduled. Stay tuned for further information on how you can bid on our usual array of wonderful auction items from home.
The funds raised at the event are crucial to the Center’s existence. We rely on these funds all year. If you’ve committed to sponsorships or tickets, these will be honored in the fall and we hope that you will allow us to keep your generous donations in support of our mission. Of course, if you desire a refund, please let us know.
While we’re entering uncharted waters, the needs of the populations we serve will not go away in the face of the challenges posed by this virus. Indeed, our vigilance and assistance will be needed more than ever. The generosity of our supporters will allow us to advocate for public schools, foster children, our environment, and government accountability. With your support, the Center will continue to provide a voice to those who otherwise have no one to fight for them.
